Harpswell ASEAN Program in Women's Leadership
The Harpswell ASEAN Program in Women’s Leadership is an annual two week program in women’s leadership for young professional women, 25-30, from the ten countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The program is based at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang, Malaysia, and is organized by the Harpswell Foundation in partnership with the Center for Research on Women and Gender, KANITA at USM. The Program consists of lectures, workshops, and group activities. Topics include Southeast Asian government and society; gender studies; critical thinking and debate; leadership skills; civic engagement; and communications and technology.
